Take a walk…….

A few days in the mountains and the hustle and frenetic pace of the city seems to wind down visibly…..waking to the sound of the birds in the rice paddies, the dew slowly melting away, families beginning their mornings harvest, the smell of Bali coffee being brewed……

Wapa Di Ume in Ubud, Bali is tucked in to the mountains, with the wild river running beneath it, and pays absolute respect and homage to its surroundings….rock walls, low thatched roofs, plants running wild, lotus flowers swimming in their ponds, offerings to the Gods placed in every corner, abundant palm trees, neutral colours, mossy platforms of rock, a floating yoga space, and all while the family rice paddies next door continue to be nurtured and farmed by the local community, in one harmonious, tiny eco-system.

A coming together of design in its best form….allowing the natural surroundings to shine, as the structures of Wapa Di Ume melt seamlessly in to a stunning background….
